Social Security provides benefits to persons who have a limitations from a condition lasting 12 months or more if the disability prevents them from earning gainful employment.  Jan assists claimants seeking benefits under the Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs.  Jan has been serving on the Social Security Section Council of the State Bar of Michigan since 2010 and was recently elected to lead the section as its Chair.

Throughout John's 40 years of legal practice, he has represented injured workers and employers in worker's compensation cases.  If you have been injured on the job, you may be entitled to benefits under Michigan's Worker's Disability Compensation Act.  Compensation is available for wages, medical expenses and vocational rehabilitation.  John's expertise in this area of law is well recognized and well respected throughout the state.  He served as past Chair of the Worker's Disability Compensation Section of the Michigan State Bar.
